Identify Your Best Strengths
There is a type of uncommon fulfillment that you can achieve that will be both good for you and good for the environment. What you have to do to achieve this abundant, authentic and abiding form of satisfaction is awaken to the nature of happiness. By this, I mean, that a primary source of your happiness is not within you as a separate being but stems from your unyielding but largely forgotten connection to Nature.
This series of courses will take you to a very special place where your own happiness meets the world’s great need for ecological sustainability. You can do this for your own pleasure and for the sake of the environment. Either way, you will be happier in your endeavors if you make good use of your best personal strengths.
For the next activity, make a list of what Martin E.P. Seligman (2011) calls “signature strengths.” Such strengths are best suited to helping you obtain Triple A Happiness. They are the aspects of your character that allow you to say: “This is the real me.” These aspects of your character make you feel excited while displaying them. They provide a sense of ease in learning how to apply them. They give a sense of yearning for how to use them. They provide a sense that your application of them is inevitable. They make you feel invigorated rather than exhausted. They give you the desire to undertake related personal projects. Lastly, they provide a sense of joy and enthusiasm.
