By helping you add skill to your pleasure the Heartwood Path turns your pleasure into enjoyment. Every step is appropriate—whether pleasurable, enjoyable, thought-provoking, or charitable. Some steps lead to the possibility of ecstasy.

Find the enjoyment of connecting with the Greater Self.

Along the Heartwood Path you are instructed to view your “self” not so much as a personal, isolated, and separate being but rather as a “Self” created from that spirit that in its infinite form is the Absolute Being, God, or the Universal Spirit.

This Greater Self is also called the “Compound Self,” the “Ecological Self,” or the “Sacred Self.” This Self is inviolable and indivisible from the cosmos. Great power and insight is available to those who connect with, or even seek to connect with, the universe.

Great power and insight is available to those who connect with, or even seek to connect with, the universe or their More-Than-Individual-Self.

Yet, those who use seeking as a means of achieving a “unitive” experience with the cosmos will likely fail to succeed. Unitive experiences are a gift from God and cannot be called up at will.

Unitive experiences are a gift from The Absolute and cannot be called up at will.

Throughout the Heartwood Path, I will present numerous steps you can take to prepare yourself for such experiences.

To prepare yourself for inevitable emotional unpleasantness, commune with nature and use the clarity and calmness imparted by your natural being to assess whether worry and frustration are expansive, workable or inconsequential in your life.

Instead of demonstrating how to use your own Will to achieve Oneness with the Universe on demand, this path will show you instead how to make yourself open to receiving the Universe and how to cope with the “unitive” experience when it does occur.
