Each person has tens of thousands of thoughts each day. The problem with having these thoughts is that they are usually the same as the day before and the same as those that will come each future day. Almost all that we think is mindless chatter—repetitive, judgmental, or otherwise unproductive.

Meditation helps to slow down the chatter; finds the gaps between thoughts; and reveals in these gaps the illusion of one’s separation from the Absolute, Nature, and each other.

What remains after the meditation removes the thoughts, the concepts, the opinions, and the beliefs is the spaciousness of consciousness. In the space between thoughts you will find a sense of peace in a realm that is normally unknowable.

In that space of peace deep within the pond of your mind where the often-disturbing chatter of thoughts are not overbearing important knowings have a chance to emerge. One such important knowing––why you get up in the morning–– can come to you by doing the next activity.
