Determine Why You Wake Up In The Morning
The Merits Of Meditating
Each person has tens of thousands of thoughts each day. The problem with having these thoughts is that they are usually the same as the day before and the same as those that will come each future day. Almost all that we think is mindless chatter—repetitive, judgmental, or otherwise unproductive. Meditation helps to slow down the chatter; finds the gaps between thoughts; and reveals in these gaps the illusion of one’s separation from the Absolute, Nature, and each other. What remains after the meditation removes the thoughts, the concepts, the opinions, and the beliefs is the spaciousness of consciousness. In the space between thoughts you will find a sense of peace in a realm that is normally unknowable.
In that space of peace deep within the pond of your mind where the often-disturbing chatter of thoughts are not overbearing important knowings have a chance to emerge. One such important knowing––why you get up in the morning–– can come to you by doing the next activity.
To The Deepness Of The Concentration…
HumaNatureConnect Activity
If this is not a day when you prefer to spend time in nature without an agenda, do the following activity:
Entering Into The Depths Of Your Mind
For this activity, enter into the depth of your mind. Follow your breathing to control your thoughts. Once the chatter is minimized allow the following question to emerge into the deep, calmness of your awareness: “Why do I get up in the morning?” Answer this question and record your answer in your journal.
Nocturnal Pilgrimage
Each Dream Figure Can Be A Natural Being (I Use Rounded Sandstone Pebbles From The Beach, As Shown Above).
Tonight, as you prepare for sleep, set the intention—by stating it over and over again—that you will look within your dreams for the presence of waking time attractive natural beings that are showing up as Dream Characters in your dreams. These may not be mirror images of the natural beings; but they are, to the best of your own ability, somehow linked in appearance, action, vibrations, empathy, or words to the beings from your waking time connection experience. Identifying such dreaming-time characters is better than finding gold. It means that the guidance, started with your chosen attractive natural beings, is being reinforced or clarified in your dreams. When this link occurs, you have found in your dreams a very good candidate to become physical representation of a Dream Character—a Dream Figure. Seriously consider adding the new Dream Figure to your collection, your Dream Council. With each new addition, hold a Dream Council session, always with the intention of finding important guidance.
Once you have experience being a host for one or more of your Dream Council sessions, ask one or all of the Dream Council members a very important question: “Why do you wake up in the morning?” Notice how you feel about the response. Take good notes. Share what is said with others, but only if it feels right to do so. Then, move to more of nature’s better-than-gold gifts by continuing down the Heartwood Path to the next waypoint.
