Involve Yourself In The Great Work

The Heartwood Path leads to knowledge, willfulness, arrival in bliss, interdependence, effectiveness, peace, selflessness, joy, belonging, truth, care, bonding, financial freedom, health, partnership, and people loving each other and praising and serving The Absolute and Its creation.

This is a big job, perhaps the biggest. It is an occupation for both volunteers and paid staffers. The job is called by cultural historian Thomas Berry and others “The Great Work.” Quoting eco-theologian Sallie McFague:

“The Ecological Reformation is the great work before us” (Moore and Nelson, 2010, p. 249).

This is why the eco-centric life coaches associated with the Heartwood Path are called “Great Work! associates.” A considerable part of their job is to help clients become free of guilt and shame.
