Feel The Life-enhancing Sense Of Gratitude
Thankfulness Is An Essential Deed
At least once per week, make realistic changes in the way you relax, make affirmations, visualize, and eliminate self-destructive behaviors. A quick look at each of these changes will make it easier for you to feel that life-enhancing sense of gratitude.
Relax periodically. That way, when you come back to work your judgment will be better. When you do relax, put some actual distance between you and your work.
During your time of relaxation, consider make some non-work related affirmations.
Relaxing away from work and doing non-work affirmations will help you keep work in proper proportion to the rest of life.
Affirmation is stating what you want—stating it to yourself or, preferably, out loud. The sentence of affirmation needs to be in the present tense, as if it has already occurred—such as, “I am fit and trim.”
Visualize what you would like to be and keep a hold on that picture for a long time.
Doing so, you will soon materialize what you are thinking. Along with this mental picture in your mind of your goal, wish it, desire (which is wishing for it plus asking for it), intend it (which is wishing for it, desiring it, and framing it into a statement of intention) and put passion to it (which hardens the Will).
Eliminate self-destructive behaviors by creating tranquility whenever you are upset. Spend time appreciating your awesome mind.
Remind yourself that nothing beyond yourself can make you unhappy unless you allow it to do so.
Build within yourself the habit of developing one of the best antidotes to self-destructive behaviors: gratitude.
To More Thankfulness…
