Assertions: People often seek guidance, clarity, or healing when their inner life feels unsettled + People instinctively turn toward nature when they need grounding, reassurance, or a sense of belonging + People discover deeper truths when they approach natural beings with sincerity, respect, and an open heart

Our purpose here is to, on this 9 o’clock Inner Orientation branch, prepare to receive guidance, information, or healing from an attractive natural being, while keeping your discoveries private and sacred.

Doing so advances all of the purposes of the Heartwood Path (moral development, burnout prevention, gleaning trusted truths in nature, and nature regeneration), because attention helps with everything.

You are encouraged to keep your attractive natural beings and your chosen attractive natural landscapes secret. The beings will become your private friends.  The landscapes will become you secret gardens. These will become places where you can both be free of expectations and be free to desire nothing except for your own happiness and the health of yourself and your surroundings.

Absorb the Earth’s vibrations any way you like. Ways will be described later. And make your appreciations and show your gratitude anytime and anyplace. Such random feelings are good, better than the feelings of stress. But they are like a mere sixty-watt lightbulb that puts only a dim glow on everything.

To turn your appreciations and gratitude into a power tool like a laser beam I suggest you do two things.  First. Be sincere. Second. Choose an attractive natural being to help you find guidance, information, and health.

Receive guidance, information, and healing from an attractive natural being.

Sincerity

Nature designs core heart feelings to be amplified by sincerity. One’s heart knows the difference between the light bulb of random appreciation and the laser beam of sincere thoughtfulness (such as asking for consent) and gratitude. Sincere appreciation in the form of heart-felt attraction puts your nervous system into balance.

So does avoiding gossip. We all know that the only things that travel faster than the speed of light are bad checks and rumors. Put more of the light of your attention on appreciation.

“Appreciation has a way of smoothing out life’s lumps and bumps. It puts things into perspective, reducing the heaviness and density of stressful thoughts and feelings.  In a moment of sincere appreciation, your day no longer feels like the burden it used to be.  You’re free to see and acknowledge the good things in life for a change” (Childre and Martin, 1999, p. 23).

Opening your heart to an attractive natural object and its surroundings is like putting an adjustable lens on the camera of your perception. You can focus on details of the being or, expanding your view outward, the nearby natural scene.

“When you are in a state of appreciation, your energy is more buoyant and spirited. You feel better mentally, emotionally, and physically (Childre and Martin, 1999, p. 106).

Feeling better in these ways is enough excuse to appreciate anything. Still, if you want to amplify the feelings and secure that they come from or go to more than just your individual self, continue down the Heartwood Path and learn how to conduct your absorptions (what you take in from nature experientially) and demonstrations of appreciation (what you give back to nature) in proximity to an attractive natural being. That way you can entrain to the good vibrations of a being honed by a force of immense immediacy, intelligence, attractiveness, and love. Always be sincerely respectful, appreciative, thankful, and grateful for the opportunity to make such a connection.

“Just feel grateful for something, anything, in that moment . . . This act of appreciating . . . will help you resolve your challenging situation much more quickly and will increase your energy assets . . . If you’re forever wanting and longing for more without first appreciating things the way they are, you’ll stay in discord (Childre and Martin, 1999, p. 109-111).

Always be sincerely appreciative, thankful, and grateful for the opportunity to entrain to the good vibrations of a being honed by attractiveness, intelligence, and love.
