Over two decades of personal research and a lifetime of experience has demonstrated to me that working with roles, the paycheck, the mind, and the hand under the guidance of the heart would be an effective way to solve personal and global predicaments. Using the heart endows every activity with spiritual and symbolic meanings that help individuals connect with destiny-shaping universal forces and principles described subsequently.
These connections occur as one blends role, salary, mind, hand, and heart into a crucible of “miraculous” transformation—“miraculous” from the word “miracle,” being defined here as a shift in perception. This blending occurs as one uncovers endless “visibilities”—outer world curiosities awaiting attention—and “invisibilities,”—the mysteries of the inner world where physical reality is translated into meanings that are afterwards acted upon.
One makes choices based on one’s values. One is defined by the good that one chooses and the evil that one rejects. By spanning both realms—inner and outer—and by acting in ways that serve others one becomes capable of changing the world for the better by maturing spiritually to a higher, uncommon level. This capability arises when one sees outer world needs and reacts to such needs after careful introspection of not only one’s “positivities” (the “cherubs” expressed as desires, goals, and objectives) but also one’s “negativities” (the “fiends” expressed as fears, humiliations, rejections, and regrets).

To examine the visibilities and not the invisibilities, the positivities and not the negativities, and the mundane or obvious domain of Nature and not the obscure or transcendent grandeur of Nature is like trying to appreciate a musical composition by hearing all the notes individually and randomly. It is in the relationships between rather than in the individual elements where appreciation and meaning flourish. Improvements do not come solely by changing the relationships or the elements. One makes substantial discoveries and improvements not merely by modifying what is seen but also by altering the eyes that see. It is, therefore, best to not only turn one’s attention outward.

Every thought leads to love, hate, or indifference. Thoughts of love are ones that cause the most constructive conversions of character. If one is going to transform the world by transforming oneself, one needs to reach deep within, even to the nasty corners.
Until one meets demons in the inner world one tries to massacre them in the outer world. Failing to encounter inner world fiends is how we humans make a mess of things.
